We collect the following data when you use AskDirect: (a) Account data — your email address and name when you sign up via Google OAuth; (b) Usage data — the questions you ask and the category selected; (c) Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers; (d) Technical data — browser type, IP address, and usage patterns for service improvement.
We use your data to: provide and improve the AskDirect service; process payments and manage your subscription; send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, subscription reminders); respond to support requests; comply with legal obligations.
For users in the EU/EEA, we process your data on the following legal bases: contract performance (to provide the service you subscribed to); legitimate interest (service improvement, fraud prevention); consent (marketing emails, if applicable); legal obligation (tax and accounting requirements).
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: Supabase (database and authentication); Stripe (payment processing); AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, Mistral) — your questions are sent to these providers to generate answers. All providers are contractually bound to data protection standards.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records for 7 years).
